Anthony Anderson To Star In Jimmy Fallons NBC Pilot, Kevin Williamsons Drama Pilot Adds Mexican Actor

EXCLUSIVE: Anthony Anderson has been tapped as one of the leads in NBCs Jimmy Fallon comedy project aka DILFs. The multicamera comedy, written by Charlie Grandy, centers on three 30-something guys enjoy the adventures of parenting despite the fact they havent grown up themselves. Anderson, repped by UTA and Principato-Young, will play one of the trio, a sad-sack comic book collector-turned-stay-at-home dad of 4 kids, including two 6-month-old twin girls. He and his wife are broke and are totally overwhelmed by all the kids, but are still very much in love with each other. This is a return to comedy for actor-comedian Anderson after a streak of drama series roles, starting with his big arc on The Shield. He went on to co-star on the final season of the mothership Law & Order series and recently recurred on HBO’s Treme. Young Mexican actor Adan Canto has been cast as a series regular in Fox’s untitled Kevin Williamson drama pilot. The project, from Warner Bros TV, is a thriller about ex-FBI agent Ryan Hardy (Kevin Bacon) who leads the search to catch diabolical serial killer Joe Carroll (James Purefoy) who has created a cult of serial killers. Canto will play Billy, a supportive friend who helps keep Sarah, who is Carrolls last intended victim, safe. Canto’s casting stems from talent deals Fox signed in January with him and Mexican actress Martha Higareda as part of the network’s initiative to find untapped Latin American talent. Canto, repped by APA and manager Aida Berna, is an up-and-comer in Mexico and new to Hollywood; this is his first U.S. gig.
