Cinematographer Denny Hall dies

Cinematographer Denny Hall died Thursday morning while shooting the USA Network series "Common Law." Hall, 54, was with the crew in New Orleans, filming the second episode of the skein. According to CBS Television Studios, which produces the show, Hall had a heart attack in his hotel and his roommate, a camera operator, called for the paramedics. After arriving at the hotel, the paramedics were unable to revive Hall. Hall, who specialized in TV work, has been a d.p. for several series over the past 10 years, including "Burn Notice," "Franklin & Bash," "The Cleaner" and "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip." Previous to becoming a d.p., Hall was a camera operator for many years. "Common Law" is a one-hour drama that has yet to air. Michael Ealy and Warren Kole star as Los Angeles Police Dept. robbery and homicide detectives. Jack McGee and Sonya Walger also star.
